Hi Matt,

I completed the purchase of the Hallberg-Rassy last Friday and just wanted to thank you for the work you did on the survey  – comprehensive and very helpful.

Matt goes through a boat inch-by-inch checking even the most mundane items and structures for possible faults. If you want to buy a boat with confidence, he’s your man. Just one example, I was interested in the detailed condition of the anchor locker. This was not covered in full in the survey because there was no reason to dwell on it. The structure in that part of the boat was in good order. However, in response to my call – and within minutes – Matt emailed me a detailed series of photographs plus a summary of what he had seen in the locker. This was the work of a real professional who I would wholeheartedly recommend.

I contacted Matt to do an insurance survey on my 35 year old, 36ft sailing boat. Communication was good and we arranged to meet whilst the survey was being carried out. As in all surveys there are things that need correcting and potential problems being identified. Matt was very good at explaining all aspects of the survey.
The result was a very comprehensive and thorough survey report clearly identifying any problems, how to resolve them and the time span in which they should be done.
Surveys are always a bit traumatic however, Matts approach, help and advice made it a good experience.
Matts services are highly recommended.

Very friendly and professional, survey was undertaken at a suitable time for the seller and the report was detailed enough for me to make a decision about the boat.  Would recommend to anyone looking to get a survey on their boat.

We commissioned Matt West to oversee a recent barge conversion over a duration of circa nine months. Given our inexperience, we needed specific expertise and were delighted with the professional service Matt provided. He supervised the project management, guiding us at each stage of the renovation including attending regular site visits and assisting with key decisions.

We would have no hesitation in recommending Matt to project manage any further marine refurbishments.
