The survey report is detailed, understandable, laying down a series of defects, recommendations and most helpfully, suggestions as to solutions.

Matt (at Marine Surveys) surveyed a Rival 32 for me during the summer of 2011. He was very thorough in every aspect and explained everything that I was unsure about in full detail. He was realistic about the boat in question and took account of the age and cost so that a fair survey was arrived at. I commissioned Mat to survey a Najad 380 I wanted to buy in Italy. Mat arranged his flight and carried out the survey in one day, the service was fantastic and he gave a very clear concise survey which was both informative and gave me a clear way forward with the sale, Matt was more than happy to talk through the report with me on a number of occasions on the telephone over a number of days which was much appreciated as well. I would like to add that I contacted a number of surveyors who were either not interested in surveys overseas or very expensive. I have used Mat since for my tonnage survey and also he has many contacts in the industry that he can put you in touch with. I recommend him without reservation.
