Sailing Yacht Surveys

YACHT  SURVEYS FOR SAILING BOATS – Our scope of work

We carry out all types of surveys, the most popular being pre-purchase.

Buying a boat is an exciting time and you can get caught up in the romance of it all. Our role is to  assist you in the purchase, look at the boat without the rose tinted specs and help you deciding if you want to proceed with the purchase, bearing in mind the valuation and condition of the craft that you are considering.

Matt West spent 23 years in the sailing industry working with yacht builders on the specs of sailing boats, checking the construction in the factory and working with the owners and operators over the life of the boats watching whats works and what doesn’t. He is well qualified to help you through the purchase of your used boat and you are not only welcome to attend the survey, you are encourage to.

We inspect everything, top to bottom, front to back, inside and out and test everything we can and then we  provide a detailed written report on the condition of the craft. We will then discuss any aspect of the report to ensure you understand what has been written. Nautical and technical terms are restricted or tailored to you personally.
